A Trial Lawyer’s Career

Leon Silver is a Phoenix business and real estate litigation attorney with more than 35 years of experience trying complex cases before judges, juries, and arbitration panels. He has represented clients ranging from individual entrepreneurs to Fortune 50 companies and organizations headquartered around the world.

Before co-founding Silver Cain PLC, Leon served as Managing Partner of the Phoenix office of one of the largest law firms in the United States, where he also chaired the firm’s nationwide Retail & Hospitality and Governmental & Administrative Law Practice Groups. That background in leading a major commercial practice — and in trying high-stakes cases across industries — is what he brings to every client engagement at SilverCain.

High-Profile Cases and Notable Clients

Leon has received national and international press coverage for a number of significant cases, including matters involving Maricopa County’s former Sheriff and on behalf of celebrity clients including recording artist Diana Ross, Woodstock co-Founder Arte Kornfeld, and Olympic Champion Olga Korbut. He has handled disputes involving hundreds of millions of dollars and has appeared in courts and arbitration proceedings throughout Arizona and nationally.

Neutral Services: Mediator and Arbitrator

Drawing on his decades of trial and arbitration experience, and his prior service as Judge Pro Tem of the Maricopa County Superior Court, Leon is available to serve as a neutral mediator or arbitrator for complex business and real estate disputes. His background representing both plaintiffs and defendants in high-stakes commercial matters gives him an unusually balanced and authoritative perspective as a neutral.

Arizona ABS Compliance

Arizona has pioneered the Alternative Business Structure (ABS) model, permitting non-lawyer ownership and investment in law firms. Leon serves as Compliance Lawyer for Arizona ABS entities, guiding these innovative organizations through the regulatory requirements of the Arizona Supreme Court.

Education and Early Career

Leon earned his J.D. from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University, where he served as a research assistant on a nationally published law journal article. He holds a B.A. in Fine Arts with minors in Education and Music from St. Lawrence University, and spent two years teaching high school before entering law school — an experience that informs his reputation as a clear, accessible communicator with judges, juries, and clients alike.
